Aksharanjali Happening
22 February 2009
Letterforms from ten Indian scripts were painted on, on 3 ft. by 70 ft. long scrolls, in a challenging fifteen-minute period. This in-campus event called the ‘Happening’ was
conceptualised by Santosh Kshirsagar and organised by the calligraphy and typography students of Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Arts to demonstrate the diverse letterforms of all Indian languages. This event marked the beginning of this exhibition.
